Learning Objectives:
- Be informed about the main potential impacts of stroke on sexuality
- Be informed about several methods of screening needs, including the Sexuality Interview Guide
- Know how to use and interpret the Sexuality Interview Guide, including the subsequent steps to follow
- Know their professional role with regard to sexuality and will be able to explain it to colleagues and users.
- Begin a reflection on disciplinary and interdisciplinary follow-up in post-stroke sexual rehabilitation with a view to implementing it in their practice.
Target Audience: All healthcare providers are welcome, cross-continuum
Facilitator: Dr. Louis-Pierre Auger is an occupational therapist and has more than five years of experience in intensive functional rehabilitation with a clientele with neurological disorders, particularly stroke. He is now a postdoctoral fellow at McGill University and focuses his research interests on sexuality, disability and rehabilitation.
