The Central East Stroke Network (CESN) is one of 11 stroke networks in Ontario. We provide leadership and support development, implementation, and integration of stroke best practices across the continuum of care. Our work involves health system-change, stroke best practice implementation, professional education and knowledge translation. Strategic leadership for cardiac, vascular and stroke care in Ontario is provided by Ontario Health (CorHealth Ontario).
CESN is divided into 5 districts and is part of the Ontario Health Central and Ontario Health East. The Enhanced District Stroke Centre is at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre.
Fewer Strokes. Better Outcomes.
To advance stroke prevention, care, recovery, and community reintegration by supporting evidence-informed practices and fostering seamless system integration—ensuring the highest quality stroke care for all residents served by the Central East Stroke Network.
