We are CorHealth Ontario

Dear Colleague,

It is my pleasure to introduce CorHealth Ontario, an organization formed by the merger of the Cardiac Care Network of Ontario and the Ontario Stroke Network!

Our mandate spans cardiac, stroke and vascular services through the continuum of care, where we will strive to provide a strategic understanding of the needs of both patients and providers as the basis for clinical quality improvement, provincial planning, resource allocation and performance measurement.

This marks the culmination of a journey we began in April 2016, when our two organizations merged. Together, we embarked on a Board-led exercise to set the foundation for a reimagined and integrated entity, with a clear, unified and forward-looking mandate.

Today, we are CorHealth Ontario, and with our new brand we launch our inaugural Strategic Plan. The Plan builds on the core strengths of our legacy organizations, with an increased emphasis on leveraging and building clinical leadership, more formally engaging partners, and integrating efforts across disease states and the system of care.

Indeed, we’re tremendously proud to mark this milestone in our organization’s evolution, but we could not have reached it without the steadfast support of so many of our colleagues and stakeholders. I would like to extend our sincere gratitude to our current and legacy Boards of Directors, our staff, and our partners at the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care, Local Health Integration Networks, Ontario hospitals and health agencies, and so many more.

On behalf of the CorHealth Ontario team, I thank you. We look forward to working with you as we strive to realize our new vision of the best cardiac, stroke and vascular care for all Ontarians.
